Leonhard Hofmann is an independent Filmmaker based in Berlin, Germany. He is currently completing his master's degree in directing at the Film University Babelsberg Konrad Wolf.
His first documentary feature FRANK MEYER premiered at the Thessaloniki International Documentary Festival, won the Best Documentary Award at the Hof International Film Festival 2023 and the Audience Award at the Lichter Filmfest Frankfurt International.
His latest short fiction THREE TREE'S DON'T MAKE A FOREST premiered at Max Ophüls Price, received a special mention at Filmkunstfest MV and was shortlisted for the German Short Film Award.
Other works have been shown at the Internationale Kurzfilmtage Oberhausen, Palm Springs ShortFest, Kurzfilm Festival Hamburg and Int. Filmfest Dresden.
